The project began when a cultural magazine needed a printable template that would reflect Turkey’s geographic and historical identity while remaining versatile for various articles. Designers first gathered factual anchors—such as Turkey’s red flag, its position straddling Europe and Asia, and its rich architectural motifs—to inform the visual language before moving to layout decisions.
Balancing authenticity with readability proved the central dilemma. Over‑emphasizing traditional patterns risked clutter, whereas a minimalist approach could strip away recognizable character. The team therefore mapped each design element to a functional purpose, ensuring that decorative borders supported navigation, color choices reinforced hierarchy, and typography honored both Latin and Turkish scripts without sacrificing clarity.
